No matter how you like your cheese dip, you’ll likely find the best queso recipe you’ve ever tried at the third-annual World Cheese Dip Championship on Saturday, October 20 at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. This part-competition, part-festival has earned recognition as one of the best food festivals in America, making the “Top Ten Food Festival” lists on Gourmet.com and Roadfood.com. Tickets Tickets are $10 in advance (at select USA Drug locations) and $12 the day of. Wear your 2012 Race for the Cure t-shirt and get $2 off admission at the entrance. Proceeds from the World Cheese Dip Championship benefit Harmony Health Clinic, a 501(c)(3) free healthcare provider for the uninsured and under-served in Pulaski County. Competition When teams compete to cook up the world’s best queso recipe, everyone wins! Professional and amateur teams will provide cheese dip samples to festival guests and our panel of judges for the final verdict on the winner. Think you have the best queso recipe around? Enter your team in the professional or amateur division and show the world you’re worthy of the title. Winners will receive hand-crafted trophies from local artist Julie Holt along with cash prizes and other unique gifts. The professional division winner will earn New Orleans accommodations and free entry to the Fifth-Annual New Orleans Roadfood Festival to share their cheese dip with thousands of foodies.
